I was to transfer about 960 photos to my PC. But while the transfer is on progress, at photo number 750 my PC said that, it was unable to download anymore photos due to an error. When I checked and tried again there was no photo's available on the memory card neither card reader is showing anything. The camera is showing “Memory card error” with black screen when card is plugged to it. I don’t know what to do as there are still some photos on the card which I really want to retrieve. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Asked By : Alicia ( Total points : 86 )

Memory card going bad?

I have 2.0 GB Lexar Memory Card that I was using for a year. But yesterday when I turned on the camera to upload some interesting and awesome photos to the PC, the camera had shown me an error message which says the card need to be formatted which would erase all the pictures from it. I thought the error is from the camera but my other are working fine with the same camera, this helps me to conclude that the error or problem is in the Lexar card itself. So is this error normal, and is there any sign or possibility of recovering those pictures from the Lexar memory card?
Asked By : ericdsouza ( Total points : 91 )

Lexar memory card failure due to formatting, what to do?

I gifted Nikon S-51 camera to my sister for Christmas. She shot around hundred images with it in Lexar memory card. After snapping the images when she took the card out of the camera and put it into the card reader and connected to the computer it said that the card was not formatted and it would not read any images. So, she just formatted the memory card and the pictures were lost. Now she wants them back, and I don’t know what to do? Does the memory cards need to format before its first use? Ans is there any way to get back the photos from Lexar memory card?
Asked By : stuartsteyn ( Total points : 95 )
