“Read/Write error” error message with Delkin memory card?

I am using Canon PowerShot SD450 Digital Elph with 2 GB Delkin memory card for 3 long years and didn’t find any problem until I have encountered “Read/Write error” error message last night. I was snapping some cute pictures of my daughter at night, when she is having her dinner. At the mean time the battery goes down and my camera turned off. When I recharged the battery and turned it on I got the “Read/Write error” error message. When I looked for the last night’s photos then found nothing. I don’t know what happed, any idea to get those photos back?

Unreadable memory card after unsafe removal from the PC. ?

Today, I have done a very silly mistake while working with my memory card in the card reader. After transferring the data from the memory card to the PC I just removed the memory card from the card reader without using the “Safely Remove Hardware” option in the system tray. When I put that SimpleTech card back to the Nikon D70 digital camera the card is not showing any data stored in the card and same is now with the card reader. I don’t know what to do now so that I can get my data’s back from it.

Photo’s not found after defragmenting the memory card. ?

I have heard somewhere that reformatting the memory card at regular intervals can shorten the life of the memory cards. Keeping that in mind I don’t format my memory card any more rather I just defragment it whenever I feel the need. But last night when I defragmented my new PQI SD card an unexpected happened, i.e. I couldn’t find some of the photos neither in the camera nor in the PC. I don’t know what happened but I really want those photos back. If anyone of you knows anything about it then please let me know. Your suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

PQI memory card reformatted while adjusting menu options of camera. ?

I was facing some brightness related problem with my Nikon D70 digital camera, so I was just adjusting some of the menu options for it but during this process I have inadvertently reformatted my 2GB PQI memory card. Due to reformatting I have lost some of my birthday photos along with pictures of my recent Hawaii vacation. Card reader is not reading anything and same is the case with digital camera. I loose round about 350 pictures. I have searched a bit in the internet but the result was unsatisfactory. If you peoples sitting there know something, then please help.

First time photo recovery software users. ?

Last night when I was transferring the data from the card reader to the computer unfortunately the power goes down and since I don’t use power backup the data transfer was interrupted. When the power resumes I started the transfer process but it says ‘can not read memory card’ and the camera also not showing any data. In order to recover those data I have used the photo recovery software, but since it was my first time with photo recovery software I can not able to find the proper way to retrieve it. Any help from your side will be appreciated.

How to erase images from the Pretec memory card?

I want to flush or delete all the images and other data’s from my Pretec memory card, but I am afraid if my memory card gets corrupt with it. I am not getting confidence from my inner soul. As I haven’t done it before, will this action of mine is risky and will cause any harm to camera or memory card. Please help.

OCZ flash memory card error due to accidentally removal?

I have just came from a long holiday and in the hurry to watch the pictures of the vacation I accidentally removed my OCZ flash card from the camera while it was transferring the data. My PC says the card was corrupted and the camera no longer recognized it. I tried some measure to make it right but it made things worse. After some researching, trial/error, I found a software but it was also not living up to the expectation. I don’t know what to do as I really want to view those photos. Any help will be appreciated.

KingMax Memory Card error & recovery. ?

My new Nikon COOLPIX S560 has just crapped out. There are number of photos on the memory cards which are really very close to me. The card reader in the computer is not recognize the KingMax SD card either I am able to check the photos on the camera. My PC goes for the timeout because there isn't any communication media in it. The recovery software I was using will not work until the memory card is being recognized by the card reader. Does anyone of you know how I can get those photos back from the memory card?

Kingmax corrupted MMC card shows wrong capacity of the card, what to do?

Few days before I have formatted my KingMax MMC through my PC but after formatting it shows wrong capacity i.e. 212 instead of 256. To get it right I tried to format it using digital camera’s inbuilt formatting mechanism. But after formatting when I used it in the camera it showed memory card invalid or not present. I also tried to plug this MMC card in my friend’s digital camera but the result was same. I am really feeling very troubled due to my corrupted MMC card, any suggestions to get my data’s back stored in it?

KingMax memory card issue “cannot use memory card”, any suggestions?

I had been using Nikon CoolPix L5 digital camera for last 4 years. To increase the storage capacity for storing videos and images I recently bought a KingMax memory card of 1GB, which is totally compatible with my digital camera. After installing the memory card in my camera when I started it, it has given an error message which states “cannot use memory card”. I am wondering what is the problem and how can I solve it? Any help from your side will be greatly appreciated.

I bought 2 GB SD memory card for my Canon IXUS 100. I inserted it in the camera and formatted it and now I notice some weird things happening with the snapped picture and also with the camera. When I try to download the snapped pictures in the computer I got an error message which says “card error – specified information not found”. But when I checked the snap log the image was there but on requesting for that image the above shown error message is displayed. This situation is totally new for me and I don’t know what to do? Please help me out.

Lost photos from the memory card – “flashy virus”?

I have been using Nikon D300 digital camera for quite a long time and never faced any problem. But for couple of days the performance of my Nikon D300 has degraded considerably and it is also acting very slow in data transfer process. As far as my knowledge is concerned, I guess it is memory card related issue. The incident at last night had confirmed my anticipation when I received an error ‘flashy virus’ while exploring the photos of my digital camera. When I examined I found that it is ‘virus/malware’ which has corrupted the file system of my card and some of my favorite photos are also lost. I don’t know what to do now as I am not much computer literate and know less about the viruses. Please help me out.

How Can I Get Back My Data from a Memory Card?

While I was viewing photos in my Canon PowerShot digital camera, a message was suddenly displayed on the LCD screen called “Caution.. Erasing All”. After that it says “No Pictures”. I have neither clicked on the Format option nor was the camera in the Automatic Delete Mode. Then how come the photos got deleted? Is there any way to recover those photos?

The MMC card was not able to get recognized in my Kodak EasyShare V1253 Digital Camera today. As a result of which I formatted the card and then reinserted in my camera. This time the memory card was able to get recognized. But now when I am trying to see the photos in the memory card, the camera is displaying 0 photos. I have started using digital camera recently and don’t know much about it. Can anybody throw light on this issue?

I am trying to get my pictures after my trip to Dubai onto my Mac. I have an Olympus Stylus 790 SW camera, with PNY Micro SDHC 4GB memory card. In past days, I have successfully retrieved images. But, this time when I am putting my PNY Micro SDHC card into card reader, it just doesn't show up on Mac. I bought another card reader, thinking that maybe my card reader was damage but the issue is remaining same as with previous and give messages as “Card is empty or damaged”. When I contact online experts, they are telling that memory card has been corrupt. But I can’t lose my images at any cost. How can I get my pictures from PNY Micro SDHC card and onto my computer? Any idea would be seriously helpful for me.

I had some of my anniversary photos in the OCZ Flash Drive which were formatted accidentally. I then downloaded a free recovery software from the internet but the quality of the recovered photos were simply too bad. SO, I am looking for a good OCZ Recovery Program that can recover the formatted photos from my OCZ Flash drive and that too without corrupting it? The deleted photos are of JPG file format.

Unable to restore reformatted simpletech flash card photos?

I have Casio Exilim digital camera in which I am using 1GB simpletech memory card. But once when I and my friend were working on it, it gets reformatted accidentally by my friend. There are many photos stored in it which are still to be backed up. I didn’t overwrite any data and tried many recovery software’s which are supposed to recover data from the reformatted memory card but none of them are successful. So, do you know any such software using which I can restore simpletech flash card data’s? Any help we will be very appreciable.

On my last wedding anniversary my husband has gifted me a new Cannon PowerShot. It is installed with 2GB flash memory card and with it I have shoot some beautiful pictures of my grandchildren. But last week when I tried to view or download the pictures it says “corrupted data” and I am unable to find any picture. My husband said that memory card has corrupted; I don’t know what to do know? Should I need to go to any photo recovery center or it can be manually done using center. Please help me out I am really felling very troubled.

Transcend card shows empty up after shoot?

I have been using MxR, EX1 adaptors and Transcend 8GB class 6 memory card for 4 months and never lost any single data. But after shooting the footage when I returned home to transfer it to my PC, then the card is not working. It was mounted UNTITLED and when I opened it, there was nothing in it. When I opened the video folder there is a BPAV folder, but no video files. FCP log and transfer, XDCAM Clip Browser, XDCAM Transfer also can’t read it. But If I right click on the card and choose “Get Info”, it says that there is 3.39GB used of 7.12GB of total. It indicates that footage is there, but how do I retrieve it?

Audio/video file recovery from memory cards. ?

I was shooting a wedding video with my new Sony HVR-Z5E that records the video in compact flash cards. So I installed a 32 GB card for it which is used by the camera via a HVR-MRC1K memory recording unit. Now, it seems that my card was damaged but it still recognized in my windows. To prevent the data loss, when I tried to access the sub folder which contain the video files I got an error message which says that “the folder is linking to a resource that doesn't exist”. I have no idea what to do now? I have looked into data recovery tools but seem to be specialized in recovering photos but not audio/video files. Any help or software suggestions would be immensely appreciated!

Card Error in PQI 256MB memory card ?

I am using a 256MB PQI memory card in my Sony CyberShot digital camera. These days my camera seems to be behaving abnormally. Every time when I capture a photo an error called “CARD ERROR” is displayed on the camera’s LCD screen. After capturing the photos, I can see them on my camera but when I connect it to my computer to view them, the memory card shows no photos. Why is it so?

PNY Memory Card Cracked ?

When I was trying to insert 2GB PNY memory card in the card slot of my Sony DSC W100 digital camera, the memory card got cracked. When I started the camera, a message is displayed on the LCD screen that memory card cannot be used. The memory card is just a little cracked from the sides but it is not broken. Will I be able to recover the photos that are there in this memory card?

I recently upgraded my computer from Windows XP to Windows 7. Everything seems to be working in order for me except my 1GB OCZ USB Flash Drive. The device is not working properly on the newly upgraded version; Windows 7. After installing the hardware on my system, I go to My Computers and over there I could not find any removable hard disk. The USB hard disk is showing under the Disk Management but without any letter. How can I fix this problem of mine?

Major BIOS Problem with OCZ Flash Disk ?

I am using a Dell laptop with an OCZ Flash Disk. There are more than 300 photos stored in that disk. When I am using the laptop to watch the photos, then out of the blue the laptop freezes and I have to reboot the system. I did update the drivers but it does not work. Today just like another days when I opened the laptop to view some of the photos, the laptop terminated abnormally. This time when I booted the system, I was stupefied to find out that the entire folder in the OCZ Flash Disk is empty. I could not locate a single photo in that USB disk that I had taken from my camera. Is there any way to recover those photos?

King Max Memory Card Locked… Need Recovery of the Photos ?

I own a Canon PowerShot S3 IS with 512 MB King Max memory card. The camera is only a year old and the memory card in it is brand new. I thought that may be after formatting the memory card, I would be able to unlock it. I formatted the memory card and it did unlock. I have messed up with a very strange problem with my laptop and camera. I took some of the pictures of mine and my friends in my birthday party with my new camera. When I plugged the camera memory card onto my laptop, none of the pictures would load or display. I am not even view any image. To get it right when I inserted the card into my camera and tried again, then all the pictures that I took today it says are corrupted. I don’t know what to do now? I have used 2GB PQI memory card for my sisters wedding and now I can’t get the pictures off. When I tried to put it in the camera or tried to load it into the computer it says need to format I don’t want to do. I took it to the photo center but their machine also not detecting it either. I have accidentally deleted a cute image of my cousin from my PNY SD card of 2GB which I want to recover. I am truly looking for any free program using which I can recover that photo. In fact I have also tried few that claim to be free/demo/trial but all have stated that I can only be able to save the image if I pay the price for the full version. Delkin USB Disk Crashed…. Need help to recover photos ?

I have stored about 200 or so photos in my 120GB Delkin USB disk. Last night while I was working on my computer, there was a power failure in my locality. Since my computer was not supported by the UPS, it turned off as well. Later on when the lights came, I switched on the computer and to my horror only a blue screen is displayed on the computer screen and later on the logo of Apple was displayed and nothing else. Even when I am rebooting the computer in the safe mode, it is not starting. I think that the Delkin USB disk has crashed. Is there any way to recover the photos in the hard disk without corrupting it?

Last Sunday, I and my son went for wildlife photography in a nearby forest. We both are carrying Nikon D2X 50 f1.4 Digital Single-Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera for excellent pictures. After snapping few pictures when I tried to view those pictures, I didn’t get the desired result and got an error message which says “this card can’t be used”. I really want those pictures or photos back. Do you know any such software which can help me out?

‘Memory Card Locked’ in Apacer CF Card ?

The memory card Apacer CF is password protected in my Nikon Camera. Today when I tried to open the password protected memory card, it was unable to open. Every time when I am giving the password, the camera is showing Memory Card Locked error message. There are a lot of important images stored in the memory card and I cannot compromise losing them. The only way that is left for me to format the memory card in order to unlock it. But doing so all the photos will be erased which I don’t want. I really don’t know what to do and looking for some really good advise.

Today, when I was capturing photos with my Kodak Easy Share camera, the memory card in use; MTS; was showing card error. As I am not that techno savvy, so I formatted the MTS memory card. Later on when I am trying to access the photos in the memory card, I am getting the above mentioned error message. Am I really worried and I am really looking for some suggestions. Trouble with 4GB Delkin DDSC870860W Memory Card ?

The above mentioned Delkin memory card is posing a lot of problems to me these days. After capturing any photos, when I try to see it on my camera Sony DSC-H20, the camera gives a cars error called: Memory Card Empty. Even when I try to connect it to my Dell laptop, the laptop is unable to show the contents of the memory card. But when I am using another memory card in the same digital camera, it is able to show its contents. I think that my camera is fine and the problem seems to be with the Delkin memory card. Some of the important photos are there in that memory card and I need to access them any how. Can anybody tell me a possible way out for this?
