“Read/Write error” error message with Delkin memory card?

I am using Canon PowerShot SD450 Digital Elph with 2 GB Delkin memory card for 3 long years and didn’t find any problem until I have encountered “Read/Write error” error message last night. I was snapping some cute pictures of my daughter at night, when she is having her dinner. At the mean time the battery goes down and my camera turned off. When I recharged the battery and turned it on I got the “Read/Write error” error message. When I looked for the last night’s photos then found nothing. I don’t know what happed, any idea to get those photos back?

Unreadable memory card after unsafe removal from the PC. ?

Today, I have done a very silly mistake while working with my memory card in the card reader. After transferring the data from the memory card to the PC I just removed the memory card from the card reader without using the “Safely Remove Hardware” option in the system tray. When I put that SimpleTech card back to the Nikon D70 digital camera the card is not showing any data stored in the card and same is now with the card reader. I don’t know what to do now so that I can get my data’s back from it.

Recover SD card which has been corrupted after the card’s size becomes full. ?

I am enjoying my brothers marriage in Venice, and snapping the memorable moments of the wedding. I was so involved in the wedding that I couldn’t noticed that my SD card’s memory was full and in that particular condition I had keep on snapping the images. In the morning when in started my Nikon Digital SLR I noticed that the card memory was full and the snapped photos are not visible. I am really in a sock as I am eager to view them again. Is there any way to recover the snapped photos back, I will be very great full to you.

xD memory card giving “Card Not Initialized” error message?

All my family members and relatives have gathered for my mother’s 50th birthday. I have snapped every moment of the party with all my friends, families and relatives. Next day when I tried to refresh the memories, a horror has happened my camera reads nothing. Never faced this type of problem before with my one and a half year Olympus P300 and 1GB xD card, it says “Card not initialized”. I am really in a mesh and don’t know what to do. I am desperate to watch those photos back, please help.

Photo’s not found after defragmenting the memory card. ?

I have heard somewhere that reformatting the memory card at regular intervals can shorten the life of the memory cards. Keeping that in mind I don’t format my memory card any more rather I just defragment it whenever I feel the need. But last night when I defragmented my new PQI SD card an unexpected happened, i.e. I couldn’t find some of the photos neither in the camera nor in the PC. I don’t know what happened but I really want those photos back. If anyone of you knows anything about it then please let me know. Your suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

PQI memory card reformatted while adjusting menu options of camera. ?

I was facing some brightness related problem with my Nikon D70 digital camera, so I was just adjusting some of the menu options for it but during this process I have inadvertently reformatted my 2GB PQI memory card. Due to reformatting I have lost some of my birthday photos along with pictures of my recent Hawaii vacation. Card reader is not reading anything and same is the case with digital camera. I loose round about 350 pictures. I have searched a bit in the internet but the result was unsatisfactory. If you peoples sitting there know something, then please help.

First time photo recovery software users. ?

Last night when I was transferring the data from the card reader to the computer unfortunately the power goes down and since I don’t use power backup the data transfer was interrupted. When the power resumes I started the transfer process but it says ‘can not read memory card’ and the camera also not showing any data. In order to recover those data I have used the photo recovery software, but since it was my first time with photo recovery software I can not able to find the proper way to retrieve it. Any help from your side will be appreciated.

How to erase images from the Pretec memory card?

I want to flush or delete all the images and other data’s from my Pretec memory card, but I am afraid if my memory card gets corrupt with it. I am not getting confidence from my inner soul. As I haven’t done it before, will this action of mine is risky and will cause any harm to camera or memory card. Please help.

Olympus xD card giving “READ ERROR AT…” error message?

I have an Olympus E-510 digital camera and also having a 2GB xD memory card for it. Generally, on the weekend I took the xD card out of the camera because I forgot what brand it was. But last day an unexpected happened when I put the card back into the camera and got an error message which says “READ ERROR AT …” followed by “the parameter is incorrect I have never ever encountered this error message and know nothing about it so, that I can do any thing. Search about the error in the internet but got nothing unsatisfactory. I don’t know what to do please help.

OCZ flash memory card error due to accidentally removal?

I have just came from a long holiday and in the hurry to watch the pictures of the vacation I accidentally removed my OCZ flash card from the camera while it was transferring the data. My PC says the card was corrupted and the camera no longer recognized it. I tried some measure to make it right but it made things worse. After some researching, trial/error, I found a software but it was also not living up to the expectation. I don’t know what to do as I really want to view those photos. Any help will be appreciated.

Lexar SD memory card error with black screen?

My 2GB Lexar SD memory was working well on my Canon IXUS 850IS digital camera. I was to transfer about 960 photos to my PC. But while the transfer is on progress, at photo number 750 my PC said that, it was unable to download anymore photos due to an error. When I checked and tried again there was no photo's available on the memory card neither card reader is showing anything. The camera is showing “Memory card error” with black screen when card is plugged to it. I don’t know what to do as there are still some photos on the card which I really want to retrieve. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Memory card going bad?

I have 2.0 GB Lexar Memory Card that I was using for a year. But yesterday when I turned on the camera to upload some interesting and awesome photos to the PC, the camera had shown me an error message which says the card need to be formatted which would erase all the pictures from it. I thought the error is from the camera but my other are working fine with the same camera, this helps me to conclude that the error or problem is in the Lexar card itself. So is this error normal, and is there any sign or possibility of recovering those pictures from the Lexar memory card?

KingMax Memory Card error & recovery. ?

My new Nikon COOLPIX S560 has just crapped out. There are number of photos on the memory cards which are really very close to me. The card reader in the computer is not recognize the KingMax SD card either I am able to check the photos on the camera. My PC goes for the timeout because there isn't any communication media in it. The recovery software I was using will not work until the memory card is being recognized by the card reader. Does anyone of you know how I can get those photos back from the memory card?

Kingmax corrupted MMC card shows wrong capacity of the card, what to do?

Few days before I have formatted my KingMax MMC through my PC but after formatting it shows wrong capacity i.e. 212 instead of 256. To get it right I tried to format it using digital camera’s inbuilt formatting mechanism. But after formatting when I used it in the camera it showed memory card invalid or not present. I also tried to plug this MMC card in my friend’s digital camera but the result was same. I am really feeling very troubled due to my corrupted MMC card, any suggestions to get my data’s back stored in it?

KingMax memory card issue “cannot use memory card”, any suggestions?

I had been using Nikon CoolPix L5 digital camera for last 4 years. To increase the storage capacity for storing videos and images I recently bought a KingMax memory card of 1GB, which is totally compatible with my digital camera. After installing the memory card in my camera when I started it, it has given an error message which states “cannot use memory card”. I am wondering what is the problem and how can I solve it? Any help from your side will be greatly appreciated.

I bought 2 GB SD memory card for my Canon IXUS 100. I inserted it in the camera and formatted it and now I notice some weird things happening with the snapped picture and also with the camera. When I try to download the snapped pictures in the computer I got an error message which says “card error – specified information not found”. But when I checked the snap log the image was there but on requesting for that image the above shown error message is displayed. This situation is totally new for me and I don’t know what to do? Please help me out.

Steps to recover images using Hitachi Card Recovery. ?

I have lost few photos of my daughter from Hitachi memory card while copying it to the computer. In order to recover them I have used Hitachi Card Recovery software but the steps to recover the images are not clear to me and I have facing some problems while recovering the photos. If anyone of you please simplify the way of recovery process then that will be a great help.

Lost photos from the memory card – “flashy virus”?

I have been using Nikon D300 digital camera for quite a long time and never faced any problem. But for couple of days the performance of my Nikon D300 has degraded considerably and it is also acting very slow in data transfer process. As far as my knowledge is concerned, I guess it is memory card related issue. The incident at last night had confirmed my anticipation when I received an error ‘flashy virus’ while exploring the photos of my digital camera. When I examined I found that it is ‘virus/malware’ which has corrupted the file system of my card and some of my favorite photos are also lost. I don’t know what to do now as I am not much computer literate and know less about the viruses. Please help me out.

xD memory cards wiped out fully. ?

I just want to view some of my daughter’s pictures from xD card on my laptop. For that I started copy the files from the xD card to the laptop. Since I just wanted to view them, I clicked to stop button while the copying is on process. Now it seems that I have wiped the whole memory card, as nothing is visible on the card and card is also not recognized by the camera. So, I want to know any way by which I can retrieve them back. I am desperate to receive your any help.

I have started using digital camera recently and I don’t know much about it. I am using Nikon Cool Pix camera with 2GB CF memory card. Last night when I was clicking photos, the out of the blue the camera freezed and got hanged. Not a single button was working. I then took the battery out and then inserted it again in the camera. To my horror, the camera was displaying not a single photo? To make matter worse, the displayed photos was not getting saved in the memory card. I then format the memory card and then things got right. Can anybody explain why was such a thing happening and is there a way to get back the formatted photos?

Looking for a good Photo Recovery Software to recover deleted videos from Sony CyberShot camera ?

I am using Delkin SDHC memory card on my Sony Cyber Shot camera. Last night when I was recording the video of my parent’s anniversary party using the camera, the camera continuously gave Battery Low. I ignored the message and continue with my video shoot. Today, when I opened my camera to see the recording, the memory card displays 0 video folder in the memory card. I had myself taken and saved the video last night, then how come it is not there today? Can anybody explain it to me? How can I get back that video folder from Delkin SDHC memory card. I am using Mac Leopard OS.

I really don’t know how but when I was watching the images on my Sony Cyber Shot camera, I accidentally clicked on the Format option and all the photos; about 350; got deleted from the memory card. I am using Delkin SD card and is recovery possible for these accidentally deleted photos?

How to switch from trial version to full version of Photo Picture Recovery Software ?

My Delkin CF memory card was corrupted and accessing the photos was practically impossible. I then used a trial version of Photo Picture Recovery software that not only repaired my Delkin corrupted CF card but also recovered some of the deleted images, but with a watermark. I liked the software and now I want to get its full version. I have recovered about 200 images and repaired my memory card as well. How do I proceed ahead? Will my previously recovered photos be deleted? How do I get them back when I switch to the full version?

Unable to locate deleted images from Delkin Corrupted SD Card ?

I have been using Delkin SD memory card in my Canon camera but one day I put the memory card on my friend’s Sony camera. From that very day my memory card is behaving abnormally. I am unable to view a single photo in that memory card. Every time I connect the memory card to the computer, the memory card gives a card error. Then I formatted the memory card and this solved my problem. I then used a software called Photo Recovery for Mac to recover the deleted images. The software did recover the deleted photos but I am unable to locate them on my Mac hard drive. Can anybody help me out with this?

Photo Recovery software unable to recover JPEG images ?

I purchased Digital Data Card Recovery software to recover all my photos from an 8GB SD memory card. The photos on the memory card were in JPG, JPEG and BMP file format. When I am running the software for doing the complete recovery of all the deleted photos from the memory card, it is able to scan and locate all the deleted photos but when the photos are recovered, I am getting only the JPG and BMP file format images. The software is not able to recover all my 3GB JPEG images that is there in the memory card. Is there anything wrong with this photo recovery software that is not able to recover the photos? Kindly suggest.
