I really don’t know how on earth my 2GB Pretec SD memory card got password protected in my Sony CyberShot digital camera. I haven’t allocated the password for the memory card. As a result of which I am unable to copy anything on the memory card. However I am able to take pictures using the camera. But when I try to watch those photos, there ain’t anything in the memory card. Can anybody tell me why such a thing is happening and how can I fix this problem of mine?

Since your Pretec SD memory card is password protected, you would neither be able to copy anything on or from your memory card. Moreover due to password protection, the camera will not display any photos in the memory card. Until and unless you unlock the memory card, the problem will persists.

Try to unlock the memory card by recalling the password. If not then the only way to unlock the memory card is by formatting it. I hope you know how to format the memory card. By formatting the memory card, not only the memory card will be unlocked but you will be able to copy images to and from your memory card, If you want to recover any photos that gets deleted while formatting, then you can recover them by using any 3rd party Pretec SD Card Recovery software.
