The MMC card was not able to get recognized in my Kodak EasyShare V1253 Digital Camera today. As a result of which I formatted the card and then reinserted in my camera. This time the memory card was able to get recognized. But now when I am trying to see the photos in the memory card, the camera is displaying 0 photos. I have started using digital camera recently and don’t know much about it. Can anybody throw light on this issue?

Well for novice like you, let me tell you that memory card is the most important part of the camera and the photos that you capture using your digital camera is stored in the memory card only. Any damage done to the memory card affects the photos stored in it.

For your kind information let me tell you that formatting a memory card deletes all the items that are stored in it. When you had formatted your memory card, whatever photos that was there in the MMC card has got deleted. So, next time onwards don’t format your memory card until the need arises. If you think that there were some important photos in the memory card that you formatted, then recover them using any 3rd party photo recovery software.
