Photo’s not found after defragmenting the memory card. ?

I have heard somewhere that reformatting the memory card at regular intervals can shorten the life of the memory cards. Keeping that in mind I don’t format my memory card any more rather I just defragment it whenever I feel the need. But last night when I defragmented my new PQI SD card an unexpected happened, i.e. I couldn’t find some of the photos neither in the camera nor in the PC. I don’t know what happened but I really want those photos back. If anyone of you knows anything about it then please let me know. Your suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

Oh Jesus! Yes it is true that defragmenting will keep the memory card in its optimal condition and it is better than reformatting. But there is also a truth attached to it and that is defragmenting the memory card will delete the file names, images and other data on the card and just will leave it clean. Before defragmenting it is necessary for you to backup all the data stored in the memory card, so from know take care of it. Since you are unable to find some of your pictures, so I would like to suggest you PQI SD Card Recovery software which will recover all your lost or deleted data’s and store it in a secure and safe place that you can easily view later.
