Olympus xD card giving “READ ERROR AT…” error message?

I have an Olympus E-510 digital camera and also having a 2GB xD memory card for it. Generally, on the weekend I took the xD card out of the camera because I forgot what brand it was. But last day an unexpected happened when I put the card back into the camera and got an error message which says “READ ERROR AT …” followed by “the parameter is incorrect I have never ever encountered this error message and know nothing about it so, that I can do any thing. Search about the error in the internet but got nothing unsatisfactory. I don’t know what to do please help.

Initially at that point I really felt very scared, as the camera was stagnant and not doing anything. I checked the card for the lock and other important things but found nothing. Then one of my friends has suggested me that it should be better for me to recover the data first and then try anything else. So, I would also like to give you the same suggestion as well. As recovery task is not easy for xD memory card, so the software that will simplify your problem is the XD Card Recovery software.
