The 2GB SD card is not recognized by my new Nikon digital camera and saying “Error in card” but when I plug the card to my Mac using external card reader the card is detected for a while but then it disappears. When I ejected the card and tried again the same thing happened again. I know that there is nothing wrong with my camera and card reader but I don’t know what to do now. There are still few photos in the card. So, I am just wondering if there is any way to get those photos back.

I have had the same problem recently with my SD card too. When I asked about it with some experienced guys they told me that it is due to the viruses which have infected my memory card. So, I just scanned it with a good anti-virus and after that every thing is fine. The memory card is now been detected by both card reader and camera. But some of my data’s have lost in this process and so to retrieve those data I have used SD Card Recovery for Mac software since I also use Mac system. The symptoms of your problem is same as I had, so just check for the virus and then recover the data’s if lost in your case.
