While working with my Sony Cybershot at home, I have encountered with a format error C13:01. I copied all the photos in my PC but most of them are fully corrupted. Once I have read somewhere that the formatted memory card and lost data can be recovered easily using software. But now the problem is next time when I connected the memory card to the camera and then to the PC it is no longer visible in the windows explorer. So, now is there any way to recover those formatted and lost photos from the memory card?

If the photos are not visible in the windows explorer then try inserting the card into the card reader and then see if it is visible. Other wise most of the digital cameras do have the option of quick format. During this format they do not delete the data rather just change the file allocation table to show the free space. So, if you camera performs this action then format it once. Don’t worry about the photos because it will easily be retrieved using any Photo Recovery software. But if your card is bad then camera might not be able to format it anyway and in that case read the instruction of the software to see if it will recover your files.
