My Canon PowerShot sd950 digital camera is not working fine any more. The memory card in use is 2GB SD card. The memory card was not in use for many days. Today when I am inserting the memory card in the card slot of the camera, the camera is displaying Don’t Format Error. As a result of this error message, I am unable to access the photos in the memory card. Although there aren’t much photos in the camera, but still I am looking for some solution to get rid of the error message.

Ignore the Don’t Format error message and format the memory card. In order to format the memory card from your canon camera, go to the Menu, click on the Set Up option and select Format option. The camera would automatically format all the contents from your SD memory card and next time when you switch on the camera, you won’t find the error message.

But you must keep one thing in mind that whatever photos that were there in the memory card would get deleted and you would not be able to access them manually. If you want to recover the photos that would be deleted in the due course of formatting, then use Canon Formatted Card Recovery Software. The software is specially designed for the recovery of deleted photos from all the latest versions of canon digital camera and works on all the versions of Mac operating system.
