Every time when I am trying to access the photos from my 2GB Hitachi SD memory card from my Canon digital camera, I am getting “Write Protected Error”. As a result of which I am unable to access the photos. Why is such kind of error message displayed and how can I avoid this error message?

As far as I think the “Write Protected Error” is because of some virus in your memory card. There is an utility tool called “mformat utility”. Run this tool that will get rid of the error message by formatting your memory card. Once the memory card is formatted, there is a software called Hitachi Memory Card Recovery. Connect your memory card to computer via card reader and run this recovery software. The software will scan the memory card and will recover the photos through certain algorithm and programming. Once the photos are recovered, they will be displayed on the computer screen in a thumbnail pattern and from there onwards you can access your deleted photos.
