“Memory Dump Error” in 2GB Pretec CF Memory Card ?
While I was watching some photos in my Kodak Easy Share digital camera, suddenly I got an error message flashed on the LCD screen.
The error message was:
STOP: 0X00000008E (0XC0000090, 0X004B4BD8, 0XEE25885C, 0X00000000)
Further it was written that the camera needs to be switched off immediately to prevent photo loss from the memory card. Before I could think of anything, the camera switched off by its own. After few moments when I switched on the camera to find out whether any kind of damage is done to the camera or not, I was shocked to find that there were no photos in the memory card. I am using 2GB Pretec CF memory card.
Every time when I try to access the photos, a MEMORY DUMP ERROR is displayed. Has anyone experienced such kind of thing? The good thing is that my camera is perfectly okay and there is no damage done to it. The other memory cards are working fine with the camera. Is the recovery of the photos possible?
